For Holiday Hill cohort Spring 2007:

1. Jan. 9-Feb. 27 (Tuesdays from 4:30-9:00) A Critical Review of Writing for Children - 12364 - LAE 6415 - 0 with Dr. Williams. Main book for course: Lynch-Brown, C., & Tomlinson, C. A. (2005). Essentials of children's literature (5 th ed.). Boston : Allyn & Bacon. You will will need to retrieve articles (more info later) and books for specific genres (more info later) as well. NOTE: Class may not meet on Jan. 9 due to professor at conference. Dr. Williams will send out information on this via email when class roster is available.


2. Independent study to substitute for EDF 6442 Assessment. I will get forms to the cohort to sign sometime in December and I will bring back to UNF for you. Then you will be cleared to register online for Individual Study and Research - 10740 - EDG 6906 - 0. (We will meet on first night, March 1 and discuss plan for completing the work and when meeting times will be face-to-face during the last 1/2 of the spring semester.) Classroom Assessment Issues and practices—Steven R. Banks   Pearson & AB  ISBN 0-205-36672-4.

For Ketterlinus cohort Spring 2007:
1. Jan. 11-March 1 (Thursdays from 4:30-9:00) Advanced Reading Assessment - 12964 - RED 6990 - 0 with Dr. Hedrick. Book for course: Barrentine, S.J. & Stokes, S.M. (2005). Reading Assessment: Principals and Practices for the Elementary Teachers, Second Edition. Newark, DE: International Reading Association. You will be required to retrieve articles from Blackboard as well.
