scientific calculator.

The Computer Algebra
Lab is located in 14/2743.
This is a computer-assisted course. The more time you
spend in the computer lab the more you will learn. I encourage you to
use the time on the computer as it will reduce your studying time and
will be helpful in doing the homework.
Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) provides
additional help.
ACE is open from M-Th from 8 am to 8pm, until 5pm on F
and 6-9pm on Sun.

In order to keep the class running smoothly, please refer all questions
to myself. I encourage class participation, so please feel free to
speak up when you have a question or do not understand. |

Homework
|
Homework will be assigned and collected
in Recitation or as specified in class. Homework assignments can be
found HERE.

LATE HOMEWORK WILL NOT BE
ACCEPTED.

| Quizzes |
There will be a written quiz each
recitation section based on the current homework assignment. Of course,
there are no excuses for missing a quiz. IN ADDITION, there will
be quizzes assigned for the computer during each recitation. At the end
of each section in the book, you will take the quiz. |
Exams
|
Exams are based on the homework
problems and lectures. Your calculator is allowed on the exams.
Otherwise, the exams are closed book, closed notes, and open mind.
Exams dates are:
Midterm 1 - Thursday, October 2
Midterm 2 - Thursday, October 30
Final (Cumulative) - Thursday, December
11 (1:00-2:50 pm)
Last Day to
Drop is Friday, November 7
