Dreams Wide Awake

It is a music show that features progressive rock and related music, such as fusion, symphonic, RIO, electronic, Canterbury, zeuhl, and other traditionally un-radio-friendly music. I try to bring to the audience wildly experimental, eclectic, adventurous, and hard-to-find music, from "well-known" artists like King Crimson, Yes, or Frank Zappa, to relative unknowns like Magma, National Health, or Änglagård. Check my playlists below to get an idea what this music is, or read this excellent <a href="http://www.ari.net/prog/what.is.prog.html">definition</a> of "progressive" music (which I did not write).<p> <i>Dreams Wide Awake</i> is one of many student-run radio shows on <a href="http://www.unf.edu/groups/wosp">WOSP Osprey Radio</a>, broadcasting from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL. WOSP broadcasts streaming audio live on the Internet! Using <a href="http://www.xingtech.com/sw_now.html">StreamWorks</a> technology, you can listen to <i>Dreams Wide Awake</i> (and other Osprey Radio shows) through your personal computer (though not at the present time; see above).<p> Check out the <a href="http://www.unf.edu/groups/wosp/stream1.htm">Osprey Radio Internet Broadcast</a> page for instructions on how to download the StreamWorks client.
