Note that in the above sample search we are looking for the phrase "hip hop." Entering two or more words into the search box enclosed in quotation marks causes the database to retrieve articles that exactly match the phrase. The search hasn't been limited to full text, an option that appears at the bottom of the search screen. Rather than limit from the outset, it is probably better to take a look at everything that is available. Full text retrieval may be limited depending on the topic. Other limits that could be placed include limiting to a certain journal title or to a certain time period.

Once all criteria have been chosen, clicking the Search button sends the request to the system.
